This morning I woke up to a series of tweets by people close to me pronouncing “rest in peace” over Pro Era MC Capital STEEZ. It’s unfortunate that the music community has to experience this loss on the eve of Christmas day. The details on his passing are skim at this time, but on his twitter account his last tweet simply stated “The end.”
My last encounter with STEEZ was not too long ago. I met up with various Pro Era members at their studio for an interview, STEEZ included. I distinctly remember how welcoming his energy was. When he spoke about his music he always put an emphasis on the group, never wanting to steer the focus to himself individually. He was a team player, who sincerely cared for his Pro Era brothers.
Sincere condolences and blessings to STEEZ’s friends and family for their loss. Music lost a great talent, and the Earth lost a wonderful person.
