At an event put together by Ent Legends in collaboration with Ace of Spades, ScHoolboy Q‘s first Sacramento show finally rolled around Sunday, February 10.
I arrived at the venue at approximately 7:40 p.m. as a heap of concertgoers attentively stood outside in the frosty weather, waiting to step foot into the toasty venue to enjoy the show.
He began his set with “Sacrilegious” as fans clapped their hands in thunderous unison to the Tabu-produced beat.
Though he was all but five minutes into his set when the soles of his Jordans tore apart, he did not let that mishap keep the show from continuing on. With his energy level at the highest altitude, he tore into “#BETiGOTSUMWEED” and “Figg Get Da Money,” tracks from his debut independent album “Setbacks,” before getting into more recent songs from “Habits & Contradictions.”
